TBS Showing A Marathon Of Star Wars Films For May The Fourth Celebration

Star Wars May The Fourth Celebration should include a movie marathon. After all, its a great way to celebrate the franchise.

Now,Deadline reports that TBS is preparing to air the Star Wars original and prequel movies this Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Starting at 6:40 am ET/PT, the marathon kicks off with Phantom Menace and then closes with Return of the Jedi by 8:15 PM. Turner made a domestic licensing deal with Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox in September last year allowing TBS and TNT the basic cable and on-demand screening rights to the Star Wars original and prequel trilogies. The network intends to make the Star Wars marathon an annual tradition.

The full schedule of the marathon is as follows:

6:40 a.m. – Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
9:25 a.m. – Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
12:20 p.m. – Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
3:10 p.m. – Star Wars: A New Hope
5:40 p.m. – Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
8:15 p.m. – Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
