Narnia: The Silver Chair Gets A Director

It’s been seven years since The Chronicles of Narnia adapted on screen. Last year’s talks about the new instalment, Narnia: The Silver Chair, didn’t make much movement.

This year, we’re seeing a little movement forward, as Joe Johnston finally steps up to claim the director’s chair. In a report from Variety, it’s confirmed that Johnston will be part of the team.

“Joe is a wonderful storyteller who is equally at home in the biggest franchises and the most intimate character pieces. Because C.S. Lewis’ story is iconic and epic, but also tender, personal, and emotional, he’s the perfect choice to bring ‘The Silver Chair’ to the screen.”

Narnia: The Silver Chair will follow the cousin of the Pevensie children, Eustace Scrubb, who will save the kidnapped child of Prince Caspian.
